hi everyone. i thought i posted this once but i cant find it anywhere so im trying again... if this is a repeat sorry...
i wanted to get some opinions on a personal experience i had. my husband passed away in dec of 05 and the following week after his death, my mother passed away. both from cancer.
anywho...
one day about a month or so after their deaths, i decided to go in and take a bath. (guess i should mention that i inherited all of my mothers jewelry... one item in particular that i had started wearing was a st. catherines medal... im not catholic but i started wearing it because i found out that st. catherine was the patron saint of nurses which is my profession. my mother had bought the medal following the death of my grandmother whos name was catherine.)
ok. so i lean over the tub to start the water and i hear "plink" as my medal lands in the tub! i was upset thinking that i had broken my necklace...(it was a regular gold rope chain). i reached up expecting it to come away from my neck, but it was not broken and still clasped tight. so of course the next thing i think is that the medal itself broke. so i picked it up to inspect it and the bezel is still intact. it has a solid loop with no open spaces for it to come off of my chain! well i thought it was odd (but im used to odd things going on around me) so i put it back on and went about my business.
a couple of days later i was on the computer when all of a sudden i heard "wham". i looked down and there was the medallion off of the chain again lying on the desktop. the funny thing is i was sitting about a foot away from the desk and the medallion landed on the desk diagonally and not straight down in my lap as it should have. once again the necklace wasnt broken!
this happened one more time when i was walking in walmart and it popped off again.
then i just reached up one day and it was gone. i still havent found it ... wonder if my mom snatched it as i have had things taken right out of my hands before!
just wondering what you all think of this????

I thought that I posted on this b4 but I guess I didn't.When something like this happens it makes you wonder what the physical restraints or reality are.Something like this seems to happen a lot when you start reading peoples reports of paranormal activity. What gets me is the how does this happen.

I totally agree Tom. It kinda opens up a whole lot of new issues when you ponder the reality and restraints thing. Sometimes I wonder what our reality really is and if physics has it all wrong... obviously SOMETHING is going on!

Personally, I have mixed feelings about the whole physics/reality thing. I do believe reality is a concept that is hard to define. Our brains collect information from our senses and basically fills in the blanks from the data that's gathered. So one person's reality and perception could be totally different from another person's. The human brain is so complex.
As far as physics there are certain laws that seem to be consistent throughout the universe...at least as far as we can tell. Personally, I think it's highly unlikely that physics is all wrong. But there aren't too many studies (or any that I have found) that spend too much time dealing with physics as it relate to the paranormal. So it's hard to say how the laws of physics would apply to the paranormal.

In a way I don't think that they can or do.Unless you get into the the Quantum end of it and we would need Dr.Tim to jump in on that because I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

No, they don't because many things paranormal defy physics as we know them. Check out this article. Maybe it is Quantum mechanics or maybe it's just because Newton's laws are old as dirt...lol! To me, it's just weird how physics can apply so accurately to other things, but not so much when it comes to the paranormal/unexplained. http://www.physorg.com/news80826223.html
