just curious to see what everyone else thinks, do you guys think some of the new tech on the different shows will help or hurt the paranormal community? just a few examples are the ovilus and the use of full spectrum cameras. to me the ovilus and other similar devices in the wrong hands can be programed to give any answer the user wants, and I know the whole idea of the full spectrum camera is to get pictures/video in the ultra violet range we cannot see, but wouldn't you get the same type of anomalies you can get in the visible spectrum, you just wouldn't normally see them with the naked eye. So anything captured with these kind of cameras might be seen as paranormal but really just natural phenomena not normally seen, and you wouldn't be able to recreate the scenario to debunk/prove like you would things in the visible spectrum. I think that anything is worth trying in this field, I just wish they would do a little more testing and give explanations of the equipment before they put it popular shows.

LOL!!!
I wish I would have read this before I posted in the GHI thread But you did answer my question about the Ultraviolet light waves. Here's what I think. The universe we live in is so complex. Everything that exists i is bound together through spacetime...which literally is "The fabric of the universe"! Because of the speed that light travels and the vastness of space itself, it all depends where you are located in spacetime as to what you see. In some places in the universe, it would still look like there are dinosaurs on the earth. Time is relative! Is that way you find unexplained anomalies when light and sound waves are recorded onto a device and then played back in real time???
As far as the ovilous ovarious (LOL) I think it is just like Nostradamus' quatrains and reading your horoscope in the paper. It's completely subjective.

You are right on with your explanation of a persons place in the universe, all you have to do is look up at night and technically you are looking billions of years into the past. you're even a few seconds off just looking at the moon. That was one of the few good solid points they made during Armageddon week when they were explaining gamma ray bursts from other stars potentially wiping out life on earth (or in my version giving us all really cool super powers) they admitted there is no point in even worrying about it because by the time we would see the event it would be just seconds away even though it already happened billions of years ago.
